Reiki and Your Love Life
A dozen red roses or a box of premium chocolates may work to spruce up your love life on Valentine’s Day, particularly if they’re really good chocolates. But there’s something even more effective for enhancing your relationships every single day of the year. That something is Reiki.
The ancient Japanese healing method of Reiki can be used to improve just about any aspect of your life, from physical ailments to mental anguish to spiritual fatigue. And a regular Reiki practice can give your body, mind, and spirit the balance and energy they need to be your best self – which gives you the foundation for being the best partner in a loving relationship.
Reiki Helps Deepen Connection
Reiki can be a healing and fortifying force in personal relationships, mainly because it can open up your capacity to love. It can also do wonders for your capacity for empathy. Put the two together and you can become much more deeply connected to your partner.
An increase in empathy can additionally play a role in communication, which is one of the key ingredients for a successful relationship. When you’re better able to understand your partner’s point of view, you’ll more easily be able to:
- Relate to his or her position (even if yours is still right :) )
- Compromise, providing a solution that suits you both
- Diffuse petty tiffs before they turn into no-holds-barred fights
- Comprehend and provide for his or her needs
Providing for someone’s needs doesn’t mean waiting on him or her hand and foot, either. It simply means you’ll have insight into when your partner may need some quiet time, a listening ear, a hug – whatever it is that can help any given situation or mood.
Respect is another key ingredient for healthy relationships, and your increased capacity for love and empathy can naturally produce it. When loved ones begin to notice their partners are showing more love, empathy, and respect toward them, they frequently begin to mirror the behavior and automatically do the same.
Reiki Smooths Out the Edges
While love, empathy, and respect are at the core of every successful relationship, there are several other factors that can influence your ability to give or receive any of the above on a daily basis. These can include stress, anxiety, emotional wounds, and emotional imbalances. When you’re suffering from such factors, your relationships can suffer, as well. Once again, however, Reiki can come to the rescue for its ability to:
- Reduce stress and increase relaxation
- Boost your mood, thereby decreasing anxiety as well as depression, confusion, and anger
- Help heal emotional and mental wounds from past relationships – or even last night’s argument
- Create inner harmony, peace, and a balanced state of body and mind
When you’re graced with your own inner peace, harmony, and balance, you’re more easily able to extend the same to your relationships. Combine this with your reduced stress and anxiety, healing, and an increased capacity for empathy and love, and Reiki beats out chocolate big time for enhancing your connection to your loved one on Valentine’s or any time.
