Privacy Policy

IARP respects your privacy and online security and is committed to ensuring the information that you share on our web site(s) is handled with honor and respect.

Web Site Visitor Information

Information that we gather from visitors is used to improve visitor and user experience and interaction. As with many other web sites, log files are stored on a web server(s) saving the visitor’s IP address, referring page, browser type, time of visit, and other items. Cookies may be used to remember visitor preferences when interacting with the web site(s). Where registration for login is required, the visitor’s username and password and other information will be stored on a server(s).

How is this Information Used

The information is used to augment the visitor’s experience, displaying customized content relevant to the visitor, user or member. We honor our members privacy and email addresses and member information are not sold nor rented to third parties.

Email may be sent to members and subscribers regarding membership and services and relevant news and information. IARP retains the right to send IARP Members email notices with respect to their membership status, and regarding services, requests, newsletters and information, and to provide benefits.

Security of Visitor Information

To protect your personal information when taking part in transactions involving money, we use service providers who utilize Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information that you input. This is designated in your browser address field by “https”.

Cookies

Cookies are small, digital signature files that are stored by your web browser that allow your preferences to be recorded when visiting the web site(s) and/or returning to the web site(s). This allows IARP.org and IARPReiki.org and any other sites owned by IARP to recognize you as a returning visitor, which is useful in serving IARP Members and subscribers relevant information.

Email Policy

You may sign up to receive emails from us by opting-in to our email subscriber list. IARP Members agree on their membership application to receive member and service related emails from us. Members may continue to receive emails after their membership has lapsed and may opt out at anytime. Subscribers may opt out at anytime. We utilize email to notify members and subscribers of important information, news, inspiration, sales, products and services of interest. We do not sell nor rent our email list.

Professional Membership

We collect pertinent membership information for individuals who have applied for and signed up for professional membership as listed on the membership application. It remains on servers so that we may best serve our members while they are members. Your Membership information may be updated at any time by you from your Members Area. Lapsed members may continue to receive emails unless they choose to unsubscribe by clicking “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of an email. We currently utilize Constant Contact and Mailmunch as third party providers of professional email services for added value and security for our members and subscribers.

Member or client data may be kept on a server for up to six months after lapsing in the case that a member, user, or purchaser wishes to rejoin or repurchase, for their convenience. Lapsed member data is deleted from the server at three to six month intervals.  If you are a lapsed member and wish to have your data deleted immediately, rather than at our scheduled deletions, please let us know your preference by using the Contact Us form. We currently utilize Wild Apricot as a third party membership management software service for added value as a professional service for us to best serve our members area and directory.

Listing in Locator/Directory for Professional Members

As a benefit, current active Professional Members are listed at the IARP Reiki Professional Locator/Directory, so that potential clients and students may contact you to potentially utilize your professional services. You are always in control of what information you wish to have listed or if you want to be listed at all. You may update your member and listing information at anytime from within your Members Area at iarpreiki.org. If you are a current IARP Member and if you prefer to not be listed at the Locator simply use the Contact Us form to send Member Services an email to let us know your preference.
