IARP Liability Insurance Program – USA

IARP offers access to insurance from several carriers to meet your specific insurance needs. You must be an IARP Registered Member and keep your membership current and in good standing to participate in the IARP Insurance Program. After you join or renew you may then take part in the optional IARP Insurance Program and purchase low-cost insurance and we will send to you via email and in your Member Packet your insurance plan choices and instructions. Online insurance applications will also be sent to you upon registration or renewal if you prefer to apply for insurance right away online. Insurance costs are NOT included within your membership dues and there are multiple plans available with varying costs depending on your needs and your country of residence - you will pay for your choice of plan separately (if you wish to have the optional insurance.) Please see costs below for the current insurance plans available.

Need insurance immediately? No problem. Apply online and we will process your membership registration right away. We will send to you a confirmation and then insurance online applications and instructions via email (print information also will be mailed to you in your Member Packet) so you can then purchase insurance right away. Both your registration and insurance applications take only five minutes to complete and you can start insurance same day. Please see costs below for the current insurance plans available.

Need to add your employer or landlord as an Additional Endorsement on the policy? No problem. There is a place on the online and print insurance applications where you can list these.


Insurance Plan Choices Include:

IARP USA Plan 1:
This plan is $145 for a full 12 months and is appropriate if you practice and teach part-time. It is designed for practitioners who have a home-based business and it follows you anywhere in the US wherever you practice and teach in the US. (This plan is also available as a full-time plan for $205.)

The policy has $2,000,000 of coverage per occurrence / $4,000,000 coverage aggregate for:
PROFESSIONAL (similar to ‘Malpractice’) & GENERAL (‘Slip and Fall’) LIABILITY $2,000,000 / $3,000,000

Also includes:
PRODUCTS & COMPLETED OPERATIONS LIABILITY
PERSONAL INJURY LIABILITY: Protects you against suits involving libel, slander, or wrongful invasion of privacy.
MEDICAL EXPENSE $2,500
SEXUAL ABUSE LIABILITY $100,000/$300,000 Protects you from suits arising from sexual harassment or sexual abuse.
NO DEDUCTIBLE

Bodywork (as a broad category)
Yoga
Pilates (mat-based)
T’ai Chi
Qigong

The plan covers both practice and instruction and there is no limit to the number of students you teach. You can add Additional Endorsements (places of employment, etc.)

IARP USA Plan 2:
This plan is $165 for a full 12 months and is appropriate if you practice and teach full-time. You also qualify for this individual practitioner/teacher plan if you have an office location or if you practice/teach part-time. It covers Animal Reiki and Massage in addition to the modalitites listed below for people and the plan follows you anywhere in the US, wherever you practice or teach.

The policy has $2,000,000 of coverage per occurrence / $3,000,000 coverage aggregate for:
PROFESSIONAL & GENERAL LIABILITY $2,000,000 / $3,000,000

Also includes:
PRODUCT LIABILITY $2,000,000
RENTAL DAMAGE LIABILTY $100,000
NO DEDUCTIBLE

Modalities Covered:
Reiki
Bodywork/Energywork (as a broad category)
Massage Therapy
Animal Reiki and Animal Massage

The plan covers both practice and instruction and there is no limit to the number of students you teach. You can add Additional Endorsements (places of employment, landlords, etc.)


IARP USA Plan 3:
This is a student plan for $115 for a full 12 months. To qualify for this plan you must be currently enrolled in school and only able to work in the student school capacity or on family/friends.

The policy has $2,000,000 of coverage per occurrence / $3,000,000 coverage aggregate for:
PROFESSIONAL & GENERAL LIABILITY $2,000,000 / $3,000,000
NO DEDUCTIBLE

Modalities Covered:
Reiki
Bodywork/Energywork (as a broad category)
Massage Therapy
Animal Reiki and Animal Massage

The plan covers both student practice and student instruction.


IARP USA Plan 4:
This plan is by quote based on your specific needs and is appropriate if you practice full-time and have a Reiki Center/Wellness Business/Studio. You can cover your employees on this plan also.

The policy has $2,000,000 of coverage per occurrence / $4,000,000 coverage aggregate for:
COMPREHENSIVE GENERAL (‘Slip and Fall’) / PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY (‘Malpractice’)

Also includes:
PRODUCTS & COMPLETED OPERATIONS LIABILITY
PERSONAL INJURY LIABILITY
MEDICAL EXPENSE $2,500
SEXUAL ABUSE LIABILITY $100,000/$300,000
NO DEDUCTIBLE

How can I obtain insurance?
You must be a current Registered IARP Member in good standing to take part in the IARP Liability Insurance Program. The quickest and easiest way to join IARP is to click here to complete the online Membership Registration Form. You may pay your membership dues with any major credit/debit card or with PayPal. You will then receive a confirmation via email.
