Many people ask us: "What is Reiki?" It is the spiritual connection to the Universal Life Force within all of us. What Reiki does is allow the practitioner to act as a conduit for the energy and transfer it directly to clients through light hands on touch or aura off body treatment. The client is fully clothed with the exception of shoes. Reiki can heal people on a physical, mental, and emotional level. It is concentrated and the energy flows through the practitioners palm chakras. Reiki can heal the etheric body (the aura) where disease first manifests itself. At its minimum it provides deep relaxation and stress relief for the client. It always has a benefit for the client, whether he/she realizes it or not. It cannot do harm and is spiritually guided. There are standard hand positions but you may be guided to go elsewhere. The private areas of the body are never touched. You must always have the consent of the client for Reiki to be successful. If you do not have the client's spiritual consent, then whatever is ailing the person will continue.  It can also be used to treat animals. Persons trained in Reiki 1 or above can practice on themselves or others. Persons trained in Reiki 2 can send distance healings. David and Jane self-treat daily.
